With & Wessel (pronounced "Vitt" and "Vessel") was originally established in Norway in the 1930s. Entrepreneurship, innovation and high quality were the driving factors for industrial product development. Throughout the years, a variety of successful products within the sports and boating industries were developed and sold to markets all over the world. The company eventually was sold to industrial investors and the brand discontinued in the late 1970s. The names With and Wessel are the last names of Cathrine Wessel's grandparents, and it is in the spirit of the family entrepreneurship, Cathrine and Stian now are redeveloping the brand to form a new and innovative fashion line.
